Hurricane Milton: Volunteer Now
Hurricane Milton has caused flooding and devastating damage in Florida.
You can provide practical help to families who have lost everything after the hurricane. Along the way, you can encourage them and share God's love. Serve for a day or multiple days. No experience or training necessary. Find out everything you need to know about each opportunity below.
St. Petersburg, Florida:
Serve as part of the flood recovery team. You'll have the opportunity to minister to those affected by the hurricane as you serve.
- No experience needed. We'll teach you everything you need to know.
- Volunteers must be 14 years old or older. Volunteers ages 14-17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- Must provide your own transportation to work site.
- Lodging at the church is provided based upon availability. Lodging accommodations will be confirmed prior to departure. Please bring a cot or twin air mattress and a sleeping bag or other bedding. Only volunteers ages 18 and older may stay overnight at the church.
- Meals and drinks are provided. If you are a local volunteer, you may bring a sack lunch or you can make a lunch at the church prior to leaving for service site.
- The service time begins each day at 8 a.m. and will conclude approximately at 4 p.m.
- Please wear long pants, comfortable clothes, close-toed shoes and a cap. If serving on the feeding team, please tie back long hair.
- Volunteer dates are available through Nov. 6. The site will shut down at that point.
