Rick Cantu of First Baptist Church in Red Oak is a relatively new volunteer with Texans of Mission Disaster Relief. He was part of the response to Hurricane Helene's devastation in northeast Tennssee.
"This is about my fifth deployment," Cantu said, but it's his first to go on the road for a disaster callout and stay away from home.
"It's really neat to see how the process, how these groups get together," he said. "It's all business. ... I'm really Impressed with what I'm seeing as a rookie in this whole process. It's a neat way the way God's working things out and the way God moves through the process."
