Hurricane Helene recovery continues, and Texans on Mission volunteers are doing what they can to help in Spruce Pine, North Carolina.

Working with North Carolina Baptists On Mission, TXM and 121 Community Church in Grapevine are serving families by rebuilding homes and providing assistance where it's needed most.

“The preparation leading into long-term recovery must be a well orchestrated effort to properly assess areas, families and housing,” said TXM Rebuild Coordinator Rafael Munoz.

“In the 10 days the group served, they worked with a lot of flexibility unloading 53 foot trucks with much needed supplies; organizing temporary warehousing; sheetrocking; taping; bedding and floating walls; hauling trash; and many other tasks as those emerged.”

Another group will be in North Carolina in January to continue recovery efforts. There is much work to be done, but God is working in a big way through these volunteers. Please pray for those offering and receiving help in this season.
