Flood waters have inundated southeast Bangladesh in recent days. Texans on Mission has a partnership with Baptists in the region and rushed funds to the field. This week, Baptists from the flooded villages sent photos of the difference our TXM donors are making.

"It's exciting to see this partnership work quickly and efficiently," said Rupert Robbins, TXM Disaster Relief associate director.

TXM sent the funds through Bangladesh Baptist Church Fellowship, which then forwarded it to their churches in the affected areas. "In a matter of days, we heard from our partners near Feni and received photos," Robbins said. "It is exciting to see the partnership make such a difference in the lives of those impacted."

Robbins and others from Texas visited southwest Bangladesh in April, making contact with local pastors and others, as well as the national Baptist leaders.

"We know these people personally, and they know us," Robbins said. "It is exciting to have both a great national partner organization and also committed followers of Christ on the field.

"God has been in this, and we pray now for her Christian brothers and sisters who are suffering and serving their communities through this flooding and as they provide a consistent, daily witness for Christ."
