Three weeks ago, winter storms ravaged Texas. As our friends, family and neighbors scrambled without electricity or water, TBM volunteers sought to be the hands and feet of Christ in the midst of the crisis.
These days have been filled with activity and God's provision. People across Texas and beyond donated thousands of bottles of water, which was distributed just as fast as it arrived. Incredible volunteers with TBM shower and laundry units stepped up to provide frontline ministry to areas without water. Team after team has cleaned out flooded homes statewide.
One of those volunteers, Jan Rahmandar, reminded me of something we can never forget: Each load of laundry, each water bottle distributed and each home cleaned is an opportunity to share God's love.
"When you have this happen, you're going to be in shock. You think, 'This can't be happening. What do I do?,'" Jan said. "We're trying to replace the shock with hope."
Thanks to prayer and financial support from people like you, TBM volunteers have helped Texans do just that. They have distributed more than 69,000 bottles of water and ministered in more than 40 locations across the state, including apartment complexes and a senior living community.
Thank you for transforming lives through TBM.
