Texans on Mission chainsaw teams are hard at work in South-Central Texas after a tornado and hail storm swept through the area last Thursday.
Wendell Romans, incident commander, said relief teams will be delivering widespread help over the next three weeks.
Despite being in the beginning stages of providing support in areas like San Marcos, Staples, Martindale and Redwood, volunteers are already sparking faith discussions and optimism in those impacted.
Christopher Claunch said while volunteers are assessing alongside relief work, “you can already see the appreciation. We bring them hope.” Claunch is visiting homes to discuss damages that will later be addressed by the chainsaw relief team.
Despite the high number of people in need of aid, God has equipped our volunteers with a serving spirit and the proper tools to handle the situation. We are honored to be an example of the Gospel at this time.
