The Texans on Mission laundry unit is helping California residents move forward after wildfires destroyed homes and laundromats.
Many local residents are struggling to stay afloat . Even the fires that didn’t touch homes are having an impact on the community as many were forced to evacuate, stop working and find another place of refuge.
People are now bringing bags of laundry to be washed and dried by TXM volunteers. They are lining up for free meals offered by local churches. They are doing what they can to get by.
Even in the midst of this major set back, affected residents are expressing gratitude for a service as simple as doing laundry.
“You all have been a good help,” said wildfire survivor Nate Rivas. “A good help. It’s been a major blessing.”
Please continue to pray for the recovery process in California, for those moving forward after such a major loss and for those doing what they can to help. Thank you, Pasadena Church, for allowing TXM volunteers to park the laundry trailer in front of your church to help those in need.
