You can help meet needs after the wildfires in California

As the wildfires rage throughout Southern California, more than 38,000 acres have burned and thousands of homes, businesses and other buildings have been destroyed. There have been 16 deaths reported and 150,000 people have evacuated their homes.

People are hurting, and they need help. You can bring help, hope and healing in the name of Christ to people who are hurting.

Texans on Mission Disaster Relief is placing all feeding and fire recovery units as well as chaplains on alert to serve and meet needs created by the fires. A Texans on Mission strike team is on the ground in the Los Angeles area working with partner churches to meet needs of people affected by the wildfires.

Texans on Mission is partnering with local churches to meet their needs. Working through these congregations, the strike team is discovering ways to meet expanded physical, emotional and spiritual needs. The weight of the fire literally hangs in the air everywhere these families turn.

Will you pray for those impacted and for volunteers serving the thousands of people in need?

People have lost everything they own. They're looking for help. But they're also looking for hope for the days ahead.

Please pray Texans on Mission volunteers can provide the practical help people need and can point people to Christ, who brings hope and healing. Whether you are on a team serving or are praying from your home, each of us has a role when Texans on Mission responds after a disaster.
